Here are the pictures from our move. It was quite an adventure getting here. There was about 6-7 inches of snow on the ground in North GA and the roads to our neighborhood had not been plowed. Everything is extremely hilly around here at the foothills of the mountains. The moving truck was not able to get into the neighborhood, so they had to rent a U-Haul truck to bring our stuff in. Our driveway was still a little icy the morning they arrived and the U-Haul wound up getting stuck on the ice. Matt was able to pull it out with his truck. It was crazy! God blessed though and they were able to unload everything in one day without any major injuries!! It is beautiful up here and we are enjoying it very much. We are thankful for the opportunity to live off-post in such a pretty area of the country. Matt is enjoying work and we are looking forward to 2-3 years w/out a deployment!!

Moving to Dahlonega
Jakob's Basketball Game
Jakob played basketball this fall. However, because of block leave and moving, he actually was only able to play in one game. He did a great job considering how little he practiced and played. He loves basketball and it is quite hilarious to see how he towers over the other kids. This is the 4-6 year olds. He is 5, so he is smack dab in the middle of the age bracket.

Ball Pictures and SMORES!!
We had a great time at the 2-69 Ball last night. It was nice to spend an entire evening alone w/ my wonderful husband (and 900 of our closest friends)! Ha! No, it was great. The BEST part is having awesome friends that are willing to sacrifice their evening to take care of your children. We really appreciate being able to leave them and have a good time together w/out monitoring the phone constantly and worrying about what is going on at home. So, thank you WC and KIM Dyess for all that you do for us and our kiddos!! Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Love, Melissa
